1 #10 can Garbanzo Beans (Costco)
2 pkg. Carmilita brand pork chorizo. (Safeway)
2 yellow onions large dice
2 lb. bulk pork sausage.
Garlic, salt, pepper, tabasco etc. to taste.
In a large frying pan, brown sausage. Add onion and sauté
until soft. In a large pot, add garbanzos and the liquid from the can. Add chorizo and
sausage onion mix. Mix well. Cook on slow simmer for about 45 minutes covered. Stir
occasionally. I use a double boiler to avoid burning. Season to taste.
Garnish with diced green and red onions and a small wedge of lime.
Do not use quality chorizo; it needs the grease from the cheap stuff.
