Howdy Folks -

Well, the March match was GREAT fun (of course it was, I shot it CLEAN!).  We had 51 shooters last month!  What is also outstanding is that 15 shooters shot the match clean!  (See  Clean Match Talley) and that's with a Fibonacci Series on Stage 1.  Thanks to Carlos El Hombre for writing the stages and directing setup for the match.  We also had some new shooters who we always welcome and hope to see again real soon.

Planning for Adobe Walls in in full swing.  If you would like to volunteer (and you know you do), just contact any of the club officers, and let them know how you can help.  Get your AW 2006 entry form here.

Club dues are now past due.  See the Cowboy News page for details, or you can just pay your $36 annual dues at the April match.  Remember, you can't get the member discounted match fee if your dues are not paid!

Once again, the The Coyote Valley Regulators mounted shooting organization of Gilroy, in the spirit of SASS fellowship, will be sponsoring the Faultline Shootist Society May 21, 2006 monthly match.  Thanks guys, as I recall they did a splendid job last year, looking forward to another great match in May.

Please remember to park on the range for each match.  Our new agreement with the Swiss is to NOT park in the picnic area.  Also, please do not drive or walk over the berms on the range.

This month we have more photographs for your viewing pleasure.  Silver Dollar Swede has his pics posted as well as a new pard named Catman who sent me a CD, all from the March match.  Catman came to our match (in costume) to check us out and while he did not shoot with us, he took a bunch of pictures and was kind enough to send me a copy to post.  Thanks guys!

Of course we must again offer our gratitude to our pards the Free Grazers for the excellent beans and also to those intrepid souls who help setup and teardown for each match.

OK, what in hell is a Fibonacci Series?

Leonardo of Pisa or Leonardo Pisano (Pisa, c. 1170 - Pisa, 1250), also known as Fibonacci, was an Italian mathematician. He is best known for the discovery of the Fibonacci numbers, and for his role in the introduction to Europe of the modern Arabic positional decimal system for writing and manipulating numbers (algorism).

each number is the sum of the 2 preceding numbers. The Fibonacci numbers are interesting in that they occur throughout both nature and art.
